The Mokwheel Tarmac is designed to be a commuter, with features like fenders, racks and an integrated lighting package that provides function and safety getting to and from work.
The Tarmac is powered by a 720-watt motor that gives peak power of 920 watts and propels the bike up to 28 mph.
A 48-volt UL certified removable battery gives the Mokwheel Tarmac a range of up to 60 miles in one of the five pedal assist modes. Power is transferred according to data from torque and cadence sensors.

The LED control center display is detachable so the bike can’t be turned on without it and includes relevant ride data such as speed, mileage and pedal-assist mode. The lighting package includes a frame-integrated headlight and taillight that serves as a brake light and includes turn signal indicators. The rear rack also has a tail/bake light.
Traditional bike features include 29″ x 2.35″ tires, hydraulic disc brakes and a 1×8 speed Shimano drivetrain and front and rear fenders.
The Mokwheel Tarmac weighs 66 pounds, has a weight limit of 350 pounds and comes in Marine Blue, Phantom Black and Pine Green color schemes. It currently costs $1,699 at mokwheel.com
