According to the Tampa Bay Times, Joe Haskins Bicycle Shop, is closing on Dec. 17. The shop, which is Tampa’s oldest, has been around in one form or another since 1916.

According to the Times, Joe Haskins Bicycle Shop was originally named Tampa Cycle Company and was owned by Anthony Arduengo, Haskins’ uncle. Haskins bought the shop from his uncle in 1960 and owned it until his death in March of 2021.

According to the Times, Haskins’ step daughter has been running the shop, located at at 2310 N Florida Ave. since his death.
