30 Days of Cyclist Gifts: Day 24
Honey Stinger Organic Honey Waffle
The Honey Stinger Organic Honey Waffle are our favorite on and off the bike snacks.
Stroopwafels originated in Gouda, Netherlands, in the late 1700s to early 1800s, when bakers created them from leftover crumbs and syrup, earning them the nickname “poor man’s cookies.” By the 19th century, dedicated bakeries refined the recipe into the thin, waffle-like cookie with caramel filling we know today.
Cyclists like Lance Armstrong brought them to the USA.
