Jasion Thunder eBike
The Jasion Thunder is a rear-hub powered fat bike with a step-thru frame that retails for less than $1,000.
The Thunder’s 750-watt rear-hub motor peaks at 1,800 watts and can propel the bike to speeds north of 30 mph. The 48V 18Ah removable battery, promises a range of up to 80 miles depending on conditions.
The Color LCD display shows speed, battery, distance, and Pedal Assist level. There are 5 PAS levels as well as a throttle only option via the twist throttle. The Thunder can also connect with a Jasion App that provides ride tracking, battery monitoring, remote lock/unlock and light control.
In terms of lights, the Jasion Thunder is equipped with a headlight, tail/brake light and turn signals. An electronic horn is also part of the package.
On the analog side of the bike, the Thunder utilizes a 7-speed Shimano drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors, an adjustable front suspension fork with 80mm of travel and a step-thru aluminum frame.
A rear rack is standard and allows for cargo, while front and rear fenders help keep the rider clean.
The Thunder is UL 2849 certified and also features an IP65 waterproof rating. In terms of weight, the bike weighs 82 pounds and can carry up to 400 pounds including the rider. Recommended rider height is between 5’2″ to 6’3″ tall.
