ECLIO D01 Off-Road Electric Bike

ECLIO D01 Electric dirt bike
By FloridaBicyclist

The ECLIO D01 is a high-power off-road electric dirt bike built around a 4500W peak motor, 1440Wh battery, and full suspension at $1,599.

The D01‘s battery is a 48V 30Ah removable lithium-ion pack totaling 1440Wh, IPX5-rated. ECLIO claims up to 55 miles on pedal assist and 32 miles on throttle alone. Real-world range will vary based on rider weight, terrain, assist level, and temperature. The 48V 12-MOSFET controller is a more robust unit than the 9-MOSFET controllers used on ECLIO’s lighter city and fat tire models, appropriate for managing higher sustained power loads.

Power comes from a 4500W peak rear hub motor. Top speed is listed at 40 mph, which places the Terrn 1 well above Class 2 and Class 3 street-legal eBike limits in most U.S. jurisdictions. Riders should verify local regulations before operating on public roads or shared paths. Climbing ability is rated at 16 degrees.

The frame is full aluminum alloy, as is the front fork, which results in a lighter combination than the high-carbon steel used on some competing off-road platforms at this price. Suspension is front fork plus rear shock, giving the Terrn 1 a full suspension setup suited to technical trails, packed dirt, and rough terrain. Braking is handled by a hydraulic disc system. The drivetrain is a Shimano TZ500 7-speed with a 40T crankset. Tires are 70/100-19 (24-inch), a moto-style sizing appropriate for the bike’s off-road orientation.

A 55-lux LED headlight and NFC smart unlock are standard. Geometry is sized for off-road use: handlebar width is 720mm, seat height is 840mm, and headtube height is 1050mm. At 133.6 lbs (60.6 kg) with battery, the Terrn 1 is a substantial machine that will require a truck, trailer, or dedicated transport to get to a trail.

The D01’s 40 mph top speed, 1440Wh battery, and hydraulic brakes make it best suited for private land, dedicated off-road parks, or jurisdictions that permit higher-speed electric bikes on specific trails.
