Puckipuppy Schnauzer Moped-Style eBike
The Puckipuppy Schnauzer is a moped-style fat tire eBike designed for urban commuting with a distinctive feature rarely seen at this price point: a DIY decal system that lets riders personalize the frame’s appearance with their own sticker designs.
The Schnauzer is built on a 6061 aluminum alloy frame and powered by a 750W motor with 960W peak output, reaching a pedal-assisted top speed of 28 mph. The throttle-only top speed is capped at 20 mph. A cadence sensor manages power delivery across 5 pedal assist levels, and a thumb throttle provides on-demand boost.
The 48V 15Ah battery is rated IPX7 and provides a range of 40 to 60 miles per charge, recharged by the included 54.6V 2A fast charger. The LCD color display shows speed, battery level, and assist mode. The battery has been certified to UL 2849 by SGS; UL 2271 certification is currently in progress.
The Schnauzer rolls on 20 x 4.0-inch fat tires on aluminum alloy rims with 12-gauge spokes front and rear. An 80mm adjustable front suspension fork absorbs road vibration and uneven surfaces. Hydraulic disc brakes provide all-weather stopping power.
The Shimano 7-speed derailleur with direct-mount gearing handles shifting, driven by a 170mm forged alloy crankset and corrosion-resistant chain. An ultra-bright LED headlight is integrated into the moped-style bodywork. The padded leather saddle, customized aluminum alloy handlebar, and sturdy aluminum alloy kickstand round out the build.
The bike weighs 83.8 pounds and supports a maximum payload of 450 pounds. It is IPX6 rated for the complete bike and fits riders from 5’4″ to 6’3″.
