The Heybike Villain is customizable and configurable mid-drive electric dirt bike designed for teens and adults. It retails for $1,399.
The Villain is built around a 52V mid-drive motor rated at 4,160 watts peak, delivering 190 N·m of torque and a top speed of 45 mph. Three selectable riding modes cap the top speed at 20 mph, 38 mph, and 45 mph respectively, allowing riders to start at a manageable pace and progress as their skills develop.
The FarDriver 52V 80A smart controller is app-compatible, letting riders tune throttle response, power ramp, regenerative braking, and speed limits to suit their riding style. The bike reaches 0–10 mph in 0.9 seconds. A regenerative braking system returns energy to the battery on deceleration to extend range.
The 52V 26Ah (1,352Wh) removable lithium battery delivers a maximum range of up to 50 miles per charge and charges fully in 4–6 hours with the included 58.8V 5A charger. The Villain is rated IPX6 for water resistance.
The full-suspension setup pairs a hydraulic front fork with 40mm diameter tubes and 150mm of travel with a rear nitrogen shock absorber, providing approximately 6 inches of combined travel for bumps, hard landings, and rough terrain. Stopping power comes from heavy-duty hydraulic disc brakes with 190mm rotors and 4mm thick pads.
The carbon steel frame rides on a 14 x 2.5-inch front tire and a 12 x 3.0-inch rear tire connected by a 420 heavy-duty chain drive. An LED headlight is standard, and a Bluetooth speaker is available as an optional add-on. Quick-swap body panels allow for cosmetic customization, and the bike is designed to accept different tire options as additional kits become available.
Safety features include a magnetic emergency switch that cuts power instantly if the rider falls or dismounts, a safety start lockout that prevents accidental launches if the throttle isn’t fully reset, and R-Turn reverse assist for easy repositioning in tight spaces. The Villain is designed for riders from 3’9″ to 6’1″ tall, with a seat height of 29.5 inches and a wheelbase of 42.5 inches. Maximum climbing ability is 30 degrees. The bike ships 95% pre-assembled from a U.S. warehouse in 2–3 business days.
