The TST Buddy Pro is a full-suspension folding fat tire eBike that adds upgraded suspension and increased torque over the standard Buddy all while staying under $1,000.
The Buddy Pro uses the same 1000W rear hub motor platform as the Buddy but is tuned for 90 N·m of torque — a step up from the standard Buddy’s 60 N·m — with a top speed of 28 mph. The 48V battery delivers a maximum range of up to 60 miles per charge.
Where the Buddy Pro distinguishes itself is its full-suspension setup, pairing a hydraulic front fork with rear suspension for more composed handling over rough surfaces. The foldable frame allows it to be stored compactly.
It rolls on 20 x 4-inch puncture-resistant fat tires with hydraulic disc brakes and 180mm rotors. the near-standard Shimano 7-speed drivetrain is responsible for shifting duties. The bike features 5 pedal-assist levels plus throttle and a Boost mode.
The LCD display shows relevant ride data such as speed, mileage, PAS level and battery charge, while integrated front and rear LED lights are standard safety features.
The Buddy Pro weighs 71.2 pounds and the maximum payload is 450 pounds. The bike is also compatible with the TST app.
