ENVO Flex Overland Electric Cargo Bike
The ENVO Flex Overland is a Canadian-engineered foldable fat tire electric cargo bike designed for riders who need serious hauling capacity, all-terrain capability, and year-round versatility in one platform.
The Flex Overland’s 500W rated rear hub motor runs up to 1,000W in off-road mode, with a torque sensor delivering smooth, proportional pedal assist across 5 levels plus a thumb throttle. Street-legal mode limits the bike to 500W and 32 km/h (20 mph); off-road mode unlocks the full 1,000W output and speeds up to 45 km/h (28 mph).
The 48V 17.5Ah (840Wh) UL-certified removable battery uses LG/Panasonic Li-Ion cells and provides a range of up to 120 km (75 miles) on PAS 1, or approximately 50 km (31 miles) at maximum assist. A second battery can be added for a combined 1,680Wh and a maximum range of up to 240 km (149 miles) — one of the longest dual-battery ranges available on any production eBike. Both batteries connect electrically to the controller and discharge simultaneously for consistent power delivery throughout the ride.
The foldable, unisex, unisize step-thru frame is built from hydroformed 6061 aluminum alloy and fits riders from 4’11” to 6’5″, with a payload capacity of 400 pounds. Folded dimensions are 43.3 x 15.7 x 35 inches; unfolded dimensions are 72 x 28.7 x 51 inches. The bike weighs 70.5 lbs.
A lockable suspension fork with adjustable preload and 80mm of travel handles front suspension, and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors and ceramic pads — equipped with electronic cut-off sensors — handle stopping. The drivetrain is a 6-speed system with a 52T chainring and 11-32T cassette, engineered for up to 25% grade climbing on the lowest gear. The Flex Overland rolls on 20 x 3.3-inch knobby fat tires suited for pavement, gravel, dirt, and wet surfaces.
Integrated front and rear cargo racks are included standard, with the rear rack rated for 150 lbs and designed to seat a second adult passenger with integrated footrest portions, or to accept two child seats simultaneously. The LCD display shows speed, battery level, and assist level. The Flex Overland is also compatible with a wide range of third-party cargo accessories including panniers, child carriers, golf bags, surfboard carriers, ski carriers, and dog carriers.
A key differentiator of the Flex Overland is its modular platform: the bike can be converted into the ENVO Flex SnowBike for winter trail riding or the ENVO Flex Trike for three-wheel stability, using interchangeable modular components — making it effectively multiple vehicles on one frame.
