ENVO Stax Electric Road Bike
The ENVO Stax is a Canadian-engineered lightweight electric road bike designed to look, feel, and ride as close to a traditional road bike as possible.
At 42 pounds, the Stax shares the same hydroformed 6061 aluminum alloy TIG-welded frame as the Stax Pro — T6 heat treated, with smoothed welds, fully internal cable routing, and a frame-integrated 40 LUX LED headlight powered by the main battery. The result is a clean, conventional road bike silhouette with no visible electronics.
Where the Stax differs from the Stax Pro is in its stripped-back configuration: it rides on a rigid fork rather than a suspension fork, rolls on narrower 700C road tires for maximum pavement efficiency, and does not include a rack, fenders, kickstand, or throttle as standard — making it the lighter, faster, more road-focused option of the two.
Power comes from a 36V 500W brushless rear hub motor with a torque sensor for natural, proportional assist across 5 levels. Top speed is 32 km/h (20 mph) in Class 2 configuration. The 36V 12.8Ah (460Wh) UL 2271-certified removable battery uses LG/Panasonic Li-Ion cells and provides a range of up to 100 km (62 miles) per charge. The battery features CANBUS communication with the controller and charger for real-time diagnostics, and can be charged on or off the frame with the included 36V 2A CC-CV smart charger.
A Smart Color LCD Display with Bluetooth connectivity provides access to the ENVO app. Stopping is handled by Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors and electric cut-off sensors. The drivetrain is Shimano Altus 8-speed. The bike is UL 2849 certified and is sized for riders from 5’5″ to 6’5″ with an inseam of 30″ to 37″.
Optional accessories, such as a rear rack, fenders, kickstand, and throttle, are available separately for riders who want to configure the Stax for commuting duty. The Stax does not support a dual-battery option; riders who want extended range or a fully accessorized build should consider the Stax Pro.
