By FloridaBicyclist

The Qlife Spark D2 is a compact moped-style fat tire eBike built around an 1800W peak motor, full suspension, and a 48V 15.6Ah battery that costs less than $700.

The Spark D2‘s battery is a 48V 15.6Ah pack totaling approximately 749Wh, rated IPX5. Qlife claims up to 65 miles of range on a single charge, with a 7–8 hour charge time using the included 54.6V/2A charger. Real-world range will vary based on rider weight, terrain, assist level, and speed.

Power comes from a 750W nominal rear hub motor with 1800W peak output and 85 Nm of torque. Top speed is rated at 30+ mph, which classifies the Spark D2 as a Class 3 eBike. Class 3 bikes are restricted or prohibited on many shared-use paths and trails; riders should verify local regulations before riding on public infrastructure. Climbing ability is listed at 45%+. A 7-speed drivetrain handles gearing.

The front fork plus rear shock absorber are paired with 16 x 4.0-inch fat tires. The 16-inch wheel diameter is notably smaller than the 20-inch wheels on other models in the Qlife lineup, contributing to the D2’s more compact geometry and lighter 78.7 lb weight. Braking is handled by a mechanical disc system, which is a step down from the hydraulic disc brakes on the Spark Plus and Spark Max, which is a meaningful distinction at sustained 30+ mph speeds and worth weighing against the $350 price difference between the two models. Payload capacity is rated at 360 lbs. An optional rear rack is available separately, rated at 120 lbs.

The display is a center-mounted HD LCD color unit showing speed, battery level, pedal assist mode, mileage, and power output. A motorcycle-style headlight ships in the box as a separate component to be mounted at assembly. An integrated rear brake light is standard. The bike ships partially assembled and weighs 78.7 lbs, the lightest in the Qlife Spark lineup.

Geometry is sized for a compact riding position: wheelbase is 41.3 inches, total length is 58.3 inches, handlebar height is 37.4 inches, minimum saddle height is 29.5 inches, handlebar length is 23.62 inches, and chainstay length is 19.33 inches. Product dimensions are 58.27 x 24.41 x 38.19 inches.

The Spark D2 is TÜV Rheinland verified, the Li-ion battery pack has been tested to ANSI/CAN/UL/ULC 2271:2018 and the complete eBike electrical system has been tested and certified to ANSI/CAN/UL 2849:2022A.
