The HovCart Cargo Bike is Hovsco’s entry into the electric utility bike market. With a cargo capacity of 450 pounds and a load of optional accessories, the HovCart is capable of carrying whatever you need it to.
The HovCart Cargo Bike features a step-thru frame and rolls on 20×4″ eBike-rated tires. Braking is courtesy of hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors on the front and rear. The ubiquitous 1×7 drivetrain is used to shift gears with a 7 Speed 14-28 tooth cassette tied to the rear derailleur.
On the electric side of the HovCart Cargo Bike, you’ll find a 750-watt rear hub motor capable of producing 1,300 watts peak power powered by a removable 48-volt battery. The top speed is 28mph and a range of 40-60 miles per change can be expected.
An easy to read LCD Display with Backlight Screen, presents relevant ride data such as speed, distance, PAS mode and more. The display also connects to the Hovsco App, which is available for both Apple and Android devices.
A torque sensor helps determine how much power to send to the motor when riding in pure electric or in one of the five pedal-assist modes.
The complete HovCart Electric Cargo Bike weighs 66.4 pounds and is available in orange or gray colors. It currently retails for $1,499 at hovsco.com. Optional accessories include a children’s seat, running boards, a backrest cushion and front basket.
