Julia Lynn Kalthof, a 65-year-old Palm Coast resident, was arrested after she was captured on video driving on a bike path and chasing a 14-year-old riding an eBike on June 7.

According to the Flagler County Sheriffs Office, a man called 911 to report that a woman in an SUV was driving on the bike path which runs along Pine Lakes Parkway, apparently chasing a teen who was riding an eBike. The man’s girlfriend, who was driving behind him, filmed the incident. The teen also filmed Kalthof chasing him.

The caller told the Sheriff Office that he saw the teen waving down cars while the SUV was about 6 feet behind him, so he turned into the SUV’s path at the intersection of Pine Lakes Parkway and Woodhaven Drive.

The teen left the scene, but his parents called police the next day.

Kalthof told a deputy that she was upset that the teen “had been riding his e-bike through the neighborhood fast,” according to her arrest report and she followed him so she could “speak to his parents”.

Kalthof was arrested three days afterwards and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and reckless driving. She was also cited for driving on the bike path.
