Heybike Ranger 3.0 Pro eBike
The Heybike Ranger 3.0 Pro is a fast and flexible full-suspension folding fat tire eBike that retails for $1,499.
The Ranger 3.0 Pro’s 750W rear hub motor peaks at 1,200 watts and delivers 80 N·m of torque, with a top speed of 28 mph. Power delivery is managed by a torque sensor, which matches motor assistance to pedaling effort for a more natural, responsive ride feel. The 720Wh removable battery promises a maximum range of up to 90 miles per charge and takes 6–8 hours to fully charge with the included 54.6V 2A charger.
A TFT color display with NFC start-up handles ride data, and the bike is compatible with the Heybike app for class configuration and personalization. There are 5 PAS levels plus a half-twist throttle. The bike can be configured as Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3 via the display or the Heybike app.
Where the Ranger 3.0 Pro stands apart from most folding eBikes at its price point is its full-suspension setup. Up front is a hydraulic suspension fork with 65mm of travel; out back is an adjustable air shock rated up to 174 PSI, allowing riders to tune suspension stiffness to their weight and terrain. The bike rolls on Kenda 20 x 4.0-inch puncture-resistant fat tires mounted to an aluminum alloy spoke wheelset. A Shimano Altus 8-speed drivetrain handles the gearing, and hydraulic disc brakes provide the stopping power.
The hydroformed 6061 aluminum alloy step-thru frame features an upgraded folding system with smoother hinges and optimized pivot points that Heybike says folds in under 10 seconds. Folded dimensions are 41.7 x 20.5 x 32.7 inches. An integrated frontlight with horn, a taillight with brake light and turn signals, front and rear fenders, a rear rack rated for up to 100 pounds, and an alloy kickstand are all included standard.
The Ranger 3.0 Pro is UL 2849 (whole bike) and UL 2271 (battery) certified and carries an IPX5 water resistance rating. The bike weighs approximately 75 pounds and supports a maximum payload of 440 pounds including the rider.
