MOD CarGo 3 Cargo eBike
The MOD CarGo 3 is a step-through cargo eBike built to replace car trips for families, commuters, and anyone who needs to carry goods. Combining MOD’s standard motor and battery platform with an extended Snap-On rear rack, foldable stem, removable passenger foot rails, and a low-step frame, the bike is designed for easy mounting with heavy loads.
The CarGo 3 runs MOD’s 750W geared hub motor with 69 N·m of torque through a torque sensor pedal assist system with five programmable modes. The bike ships with Class 2 (and a top speed of 20 mph as default) but an off-road mode unlocks a top speed of 28 mph for private property use.
The Samsung Li-ion 48V 15Ah (720Wh) battery is SGS-tested and compliant with UL 2271, is removable for indoor charging, and is dual-battery compatible. Adding a second battery via the Snap-On Rack extends range from 50 miles to 100 miles with a manual swap. The MOD BIKES S3 Smart Color Display includes a USB charging port and a 4-digit password lock. Charging takes 3–6 hours with the included 2A automatic smart charger.
The CarGo 3’s defining features relative to the rest of the MOD lineup are its extended cargo platform and step-through geometry optimized for loaded riding. The extended Snap-On rear rack accepts the full MOD accessory ecosystem, like child seats, trunk bags, baskets, and passenger add-ons, and includes removable foot rails that give passengers a secure, comfortable footrest without requiring a full child seat.
Despite the longer wheelbase and cargo capacity, the CarGo 3 maintains a standard bike footprint: the foldable stem allows the bike to be stored vertically or transported without a car rack. The dual suspension system pairs a Mozo front fork with 100mm of travel, preload adjustment, and lockout with an EXA Form 525 suspension seatpost delivering 40mm of rear compliance.
The bike rolls on 24 x 3.0-inch multi-terrain tires and uses the same drivetrain as the rest of the MOD lineup: LT-WOO 7-speed trigger shifter, Shimano Altus 7-speed derailleur, and DNP 11-32T freewheel with a 52T crankset and double-sided aluminum bash guards. Stopping is handled by dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors, motor inhibitors, and adjustable reach levers.
A 300-lumen wide beam LED headlight, integrated LED taillight with wireless brake light, full-cover aluminum fenders, a heavy-duty adjustable kickstand, premium aluminum bell, faux leather ergonomic grips, and a Selle Royal premium gel saddle are all included standard. MOD Connect allows wireless pairing of a compatible Lumos smart helmet for handlebar-controlled turn signals and brake light sync. The CarGo 3 is HSA/FSA eligible, fits riders from 5’2″ to 6’9″, and supports a payload capacity of 350 pounds.
