ENVO ST50 Electric Bike
The ENVO ST50 is the step-through variant of ENVO’s 50 Series platform, resulting in a lower-entry frame designed for easy mounting and a more upright, relaxed riding position.
Built on a hydroformed 6061 aluminum alloy TIG-welded frame available in Small and Large sizes to fit riders from 5’0″ to 6’6″, the ST50 weighs 28 kg (61.7 lbs) and carries a maximum payload of 400 pounds. The frame’s step-through geometry and ergonomic shape minimize vibrations and noise while making it easier to mount and dismount than the D50’s step-over design.
The 750W peak (500W rated) brushless geared rear hub motor is ENVO’s proprietary design, claimed to be 50% lighter than comparable hub motors while delivering 50% more torque and 25% greater battery efficiency, and engineered for more than 12,00 miles of maintenance-free operation. Power delivery uses a torque sensor plus cadence sensor combination for smooth, natural assist across 5 levels. Top speed is 32 km/h (20 mph) in Class 2 configuration for Canadian roads; the US market version ships as Class 3 at 45 km/h (28 mph).
The 48V 15Ah (720Wh) LG Li-Ion battery uses CANBUS communication between the battery, controller, and display for real-time cell health monitoring and Smart Charging Communication for safer, more efficient charging. It is removable for on or off-bike charging with the included 54V 2A CC-CV charger. A second battery from the shared 50 Series ecosystem can be added for extended range.
The Smart Color Display with Bluetooth connects to the ENVO app for diagnostics, navigation, and performance tracking. Stopping is handled by Tektro HD-E3520 hydraulic disc brakes. The drivetrain is Shimano Alivio 9-speed with a 48T chainring and 11-36T cassette, supporting climbs up to 25% grade in first gear. The adjustable, lockable 29-inch suspension fork with 80mm of travel handles front compliance on both trails and asphalt.
CST C1820 27.5 x 2.35-inch tires roll on double-wall alloy rims with stainless steel 13G spokes. Double-walled alloy fenders, an adjustable rear kickstand, a battery-powered LED headlight and taillight with handlebar keypad control, and a 700mm handlebar with 9-degree back sweep are all included standard. The ST50 is UL 2849 certified.
The ENVO ST50 retails for $2,003 USD (Pearl) or $2,449 USD (Maroon, Cactus) at envodrive.com in Small and Large frame sizes. It ships within 3–7 business days and comes with a 1-year warranty.
