Velotric Breeze 1 Step-Through Cruiser eBike
The Velotric Breeze 1 is a 48-pound step-through cruiser eBike designed for everyday city riding and weekend coastal cruising. Key features include a 750W motor, SensorSwap, swept-back Dutch-style handlebars, brake-activated seatstay taillights, and a rigid fork.
The Breeze 1 runs a 750W rear hub motor with 65 N·m of torque and SensorSwap, letting riders toggle between torque sensor mode for natural, proportional assist and cadence sensor mode for effortless, consistent power delivery. The bike’s three riding modes (Eco, Trail, and Boost) work in tandem with five pedal assist levels and a removable trigger-control throttle to move the bike up to 28mph.
It ships in Class 2 mode as default, but Class 1, 2, and 3 modes up to 28 mph are available via the Velotric app. Despite its lightweight build, the motor holds 20 mph on a 5–7% grade with minimal speed loss. The 48V 13.4Ah (627Wh) 18650-cell battery is IPX7 rated and UL 2271 certified, with a claimed range of 70 miles on pedal assist and 55 miles on throttle. A 3.0A fast charger, USB-C port for phone charging, and Apple Find My integration are all standard.
At 48 pounds, the Breeze 1 is 13 pounds lighter than the Discover 3 and among the lightest 750W step-through eBikes available. The low weight is a result of a triple-butted 6061 aluminum frame, a rigid aluminum fork and a smaller battery format, resulting in handling that’s noticeably crisper and more responsive than heavier comfort-focused bikes. The swept-back Dutch-style handlebar and adjustable stem keep the rider in an upright, comfortable position, while the ComfortMax spring-supported saddle absorbs road vibration in place of a suspension seatpost or fork.
The Breeze 1 rolls on Kenda 27.5 x 2.2-inch eBike puncture-resistant tires on double-wall alloy rims with a Novatec 15x110mm thru-axle front hub. Tektro 2-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors and motor cutoff sensors handle stopping.
The drivetrain is Shimano 8-speed with a 46T narrow-wide chainring, 11–32T cassette, and 170mm alloy cranks. A 400-lumen adjustable-angle integrated LED headlight, rear twin taillights with run/brake/turn signal modes, a 3.5-inch full-color Bluetooth display, and an aluminum alloy kickstand are all included standard. Front and rear fenders and a MIK HD rear rack are available separately as optional add-ons.
The Breeze 1 is IPX6 rated for the whole bike, UL 2849 certified, weighs 48 pounds, and supports a maximum payload of 300 pounds. It fits riders from 4’11” to 6’4″ across Regular and Large sizes.
