Velotric Triker Folding Electric Tricycle
The Velotric Triker is a folding electric tricycle designed for those who want stability, cargo capacity, and a full-featured eBike drivetrain without giving up the comfort and confidence that make a trike worth riding in the first place.
The Triker is powered by a 750W rear hub motor with 1,300W peak output and 90 N·m of torque, enough to climb 15-degree slopes under a 300-pound test load. Like Velotric’s two-wheelers, the Triker uses SensorSwap for toggling between torque sensor mode for responsive, effort-proportional assist and cadence sensor mode for relaxed, steady cruising.
A thumb throttle handles on-demand boost and works independently of pedal assist. Five pedal assist levels plus a Beginner Mode that caps speed at 8 mph for new riders give the Triker a wide range of accessibility across different rider experience levels. Top speed is 20 mph in Class 2.
The UL-certified 48V 16.75Ah (804Wh) battery delivers a claimed 60 miles on pedal assist or 50 miles on throttle, with a 3A fast charger filling it in approximately 5.5 hours. Apple Find My integration and OTA firmware updates via the Velotric app are standard.
The Triker’s rear differential axle allows the two rear wheels to rotate at different speeds through corners. This prevents the rear wheels from skipping or hopping on turns the way a locked axle does. Stability was tested at 300-pound loads on 15-degree slopes per Velotric’s safety standards.
The 80mm hydraulic front suspension fork with preload adjustment and lockout, combined with 20 x 3.0-inch Kenda K-Rad checkerboard-pattern tires, provides front-end compliance on uneven pavement and light off-road paths. Stopping is handled by hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors front and rear, power cutoff sensors, and an integrated parking brake on the brake lever, which keeps the trike stationary when loading cargo or when stopped on a slope.
The frame folds at the foldable adjustable stem, reducing the wheelbase by approximately 15 inches, which is enough to fit into most SUVs and pickup trucks with the rear seats folded.
The 180-degree rotating stem adjusts for personalized handlebar positioning and posture. The Velotric saddle features a 300mm wide cloud-soft cushion and an adjustable backrest; the low 370mm step-through height makes mounting easy. A rear cargo rack rated for 120 pounds is included standard, along with full front and rear fenders for all three wheels, a 400-lumen LED headlight, integrated rear lights with brake activation and turn signals, and ergonomic lockable grips.
The Velotric app provides motor customization, SensorSwap control, speed limit setting, and Beginner Mode activation. The Triker supports a maximum payload of 500 pounds.
