Tezeus Swift Folding Carbon Fiber eBike
The Tezeus Swift is a 36.2-pound folding eBike built around a full carbon fiber frame and fork, aimed at riders who want a lightweight, foldable commuter that still rides like a full-featured bike rather than a scaled-down mini-folder.
At 36.2 lbs, the Swift is noticeably lighter than most folding eBikes in its class, many of which run 45–55 pounds thanks to steel or aluminum frames. Tezeus gets there with a carbon fiber frame, fork, and handlebars, paired with an aluminum alloy seatpost and wheels, and a smaller 252Wh seat-post-mounted battery rather than the larger downtube packs found on heavier folders.
The 250W rear hub motor is rated at 30 N·m of torque and is paired with both torque and cadence sensors for smoother, more responsive pedal assist than a cadence-only setup, plus a thumb throttle for on-demand power without pedaling. Top speed on the US version is capped at 20 mph, with motor assist cutting off at that point; riders can exceed it under their own pedaling power, per regulations. Tezeus claims a range up to 37 miles (60 km) from the 252Wh LG battery, though actual range will vary with rider weight, terrain, and assist level, as it does on any eBike.
Folding is a two-to-three step process Tezeus says takes about 8 seconds: drop the seatpost (which locks the battery in place via the seat-tube lock system), fold the head tube down, and fold the pedals flat. Folded dimensions come in at 90 x 58 x 73 cm, and the two wheels connect magnetically to keep the folded package compact for storage or transit.
Stopping power comes from Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, and the drivetrain is a Shimano 7-speed rear derailleur setup. The Swift rolls on Kenda 20 x 1.95 tires and includes rear suspension for a smoother ride over rough pavement, a feature many folding eBikes skip entirely. A color display is integrated into the top tube rather than handlebar-mounted, and front lighting is built in.
The frame fits riders from 4’11” to 6’5″, with a maximum total weight capacity of 220 lbs (100 kg). The bike is TÜV safety certified.
