Lacros Kruiser All-Terrain Step-Through eBike
The Lacros Kruiser is a step-through all-terrain eBike designed for riders looking for a combination of long-range capability, a comfortable low-step frame, and fat tires for a variety of riding surfaces.
The Kruiser is powered by a 750W Bafang rear hub motor producing up to 85Nm of torque. A torque sensor provides pedal-assist input based on the rider’s pedaling, while a thumb throttle provides additional motor assistance. Lacros lists a top speed of up to 28 mph when using Level 5 pedal assist.
The bike uses a 48V 20Ah Samsung battery with 18650 cells. Lacros lists a maximum range of up to 80 miles, although actual range will depend on factors such as rider weight, terrain, speed, temperature, and assist level. The battery is rated for 800 cycles and has an IPX5 water-resistance rating.
The Kruiser’s step-through aluminum frame is paired with 26 x 4-inch Kenda puncture-resistant fat tires. A 60mm adjustable oil suspension fork provides additional cushioning over uneven pavement, gravel, and light trails.
Stopping power comes from fully hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors on both the front and rear. The bike also includes front and rear 48V lights with integrated turn signals.
A Shimano 7-speed drivetrain provides multiple gearing options, while the adjustable aluminum stem and adjustable-height saddle allow riders to customize the riding position. The Kruiser also includes an NFC security system and a color LCD display.
The Lacros Kruiser is currently listed at $1,459 (reduced from $1,999) at lacrosebike.com. The product page identifies the bike as a pre-order and lists free shipping, a 30-day trial, and a 2-year warranty.
